Pakistan’s First Digital Media Summit has been organized by TEC(Training, Event and Consultancy) with the name of DigiMark2011.  Information has always been the most important tool in history. Mass media refers collectively to all media technologies, including the Internet, television, newspapers, film and radio, which are used for mass communications, and to the organizations which control these technologies. History of Media has been a key role in information sharing. The first high-circulation newspapers arose in the eastern United States in the early 1800s. In the 1840s, the first commercial electrical telegraph was developed, Cinema began to be a large-scale entertainment industry in 1894, The first commercial radio broadcasts in the United States began in the 1920s and the first television broadcasts for a mass audience began in 1936 Germany and UK and then computer, internet and mobile phones had revolutionized the world.

Mass media play a significant role in shaping public perceptions on a variety of important issues, both through the information that is dispensed through them, and through the interpretations they place upon this information They also play a large role in shaping modern culture, by selecting and portraying a particular set of beliefs, values, and traditions like reality. That is, by portraying a certain interpretation of reality, they shape reality to be more in line with that interpretation.

Traditional sources of information such as word of mouth and business publications continue to be critical sources of information. And now-a-days importance of Digital Media "the creative convergence of digital arts, science, technology and business for human expression, communication, social interaction and education", is gaining more importance.
